Q: I am a 23 year old type 1 diabetic who has no insurance and and very little income. How can I get my insulin?
I filed for SSI and was denied and now I have lost my insurance. I am currently not working. I am taking Lantus and on average it is $85 a bottle. I am trying to find a way to get help with getting it because I have to have it and cannot afford to buy it.
A: Many of the pharmaceutical companies offer medicine assistance programs for people who cannot afford their medications. I’m not sure who the manufacturer of this particular drug is, but you should try contacting the pharmaceutical company and asking them if they have any programs that can help you with this problem.
Q: Should I use an Insulin Pump?
Hi, I am a type 1 diabetic and 18 years old, I just got diagnosed a year ago. I was wondering if I should buy a pump, some worries are that I am pretty active in sports: Rugby, lots of exercise, and I am thinking about maybe going into MMA (mixed martial arts). Would it be more of a help or a burden with the pump? By the way I take Novolog and lantus. I’m pretty sure that my blood last time i went in was at 7.5.
A: It would not be a burden at all. Actually, it would make your life easier. I know two sisters whom are very active and they wear insulin pump and they said they wouldn’t have it any other way.
Q: where can I get prescription diabetes drugs cheap without prescription??
Hi everyone I am looking for a prescription only medication for diabetes called Lantus. I am wanting an aussie script for it. My cat has feline diabetes and if I buy a vial from my vet it costs me over $200.00 dollars. I am wanting to know if there is anyway I can get my hands on a vial for less??? Does anyone know a dodgy doctor on the mornington peninsula that would right a script or are there any web sites that you can buy medications through . I know this sounds dodgy but I want to try anything for my cat but money is an issue. Any help would be appreciated thanks
A: Hey, the stuff ain’t cheap. My long lasting costs me $200.00 also. You may be able to find a druggist that will give it to you without a prescription, but they charge even more. At least that has been my experience. You either get the stuff without a script and pay more, or go to the vet, get a script, and still pay a lot.
